Asus introduces ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM and Strix OLED XG27AQDPG gaming monitors

Asus ROG is pushing the boundaries of display technology with the launch of two new OLED gaming monitors: the Swift OLED PG27UCDM and the Strix OLED XG27AQDPG.

The PG27UCDM is a 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate. This combination delivers incredibly sharp and fluid visuals, with a pixel density of 160 PPI for crisper images and text compared to previous-generation panels. It also supports HDR with VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, Dolby Vision, and HDR10, offering vibrant colours and deep blacks. Connectivity is also worth praising, with DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 for uncompressed image quality at high refresh rates, HDMI 2.1, and a USB-C port with 90W Power Delivery. The ROG DisplayWidget Center provides easy access to monitor settings and OLED Care Pro features for convenient customisation.

The ROG Strix XG27AQDPG has a 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED panel with an astounding 500 Hz refresh rate. This translates to incredibly smooth and responsive gameplay, with a 0.03 ms response time and 10-bit colour depth. The XG27AQDPG also features Dynamic Brightness Boost to enhance HDR content and a suite of connectivity options, including DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and HDMI 2.1.

Both monitors feature ROG's new OLED Care Pro technology, which includes a Neo Proximity Sensor that detects the user's distance from the screen. If no one is detected, the monitor automatically switches to a black screen to prevent burn-in, ensuring longevity and consistent image quality. Asus has also implemented its ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 technology, which reduces on-screen flicker for a more comfortable viewing experience, even during intense gaming sessions.

The Swift OLED PG27UCDM will be available for pre-order starting January 21st, with pricing and availability for the XG27AQDPG to be announced later.
