AOC debuts 180Hz CU34G3X curved ultrawide gaming monitor

AOC is expanding its display options with a new curved gaming monitor, the CU34G3X. As of now, the monitor has only been announced for the Chinese market, but it should come to this side of the world soon.

The monitor is centred around a 34-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, a 180Hz refresh rate, a 1ms G2G response time, and 3440×1440 WQHD resolution. The panel has 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) colour depth, 300 nits of brightness with HDR10 certification, a static contrast ratio of 4000:1, and a dynamic contrast ratio of 80M:1. Colour coverage is quite extensive, covering up to 132% of the sRGB, up to 109% of the NTSC, and up to 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space. The screen comes colour-calibrated out of the factory (ΔE<2) and supports AMD FreeSync.

The AOC CU34G3X has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and one headphone connector. The stand has a tilt range of -5º to 23º, a height range of up to 130mm, and a swivel range of -40º to 40º. Alternatively, there's support for VESA (100×100) monitor arms. Flicker-free, Motion Blur Reduction, Low Input Lag, PiP, PbP, Low Blue Light Mode, and the AOC G-Menu are some other features of the CU34G3X.

This monitor was already launched in China, but there's still no word about a worldwide release. However, seeing that its predecessor, the CU34G2X, is available in Europe, the UK, and the US, there's a good chance the CU34G3X will follow suit.

KitGuru says: On paper, the CU34G3X looks like a good monitor for those who play on curved displays. What do you think of the CU34G3X?
