AOC announces its first 1000R curved gaming monitor

AOC is stepping up its curved gaming monitor offerings with the announcement of the CQ273G3S the first AOC gaming monitor to feature a 1000R curvature. This 27-inch monitor comes with all the bells and whistles that gamers enjoy on their gaming displays, including a high refresh rate, fast response times, and Adaptive Sync technology.

The AOC CQ27G3S uses a VA panel with a QHD resolution (2560×1440), 1ms response time (MPRT), 178° (H)/178º (V) viewing angles, and a 165Hz refresh rate. Like most VA panels, the contrast ratio is above average, with 3000:1, while luminance is rated at 300 nits, covering up to 120% of the sRGB colour gamut, and 91% of DCI-P3. This 8-bit panel comes factory calibrated with a ΔE<2 and should support HDR10.

This monitor is FreeSync compatible, which prevents tearing by using an AMD supported GPU. There are numerous other features included with the monitor, such as multiple image settings presets, flicker-free technology, low blue light setting, crosshair, FPS counter, shadow control, low motion blur technology, and low input delay, all accessible through the monitor's OSD and through the G-Menu software.

There are 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack for connectivity purposes. The monitor stand allows it to be tilted (-5º to 23º), swivelled (±40º), and adjust its height by 150mm, but it also supports 100×100 VESA mounting bracket to further enhance its ergonomic features.

According to PRAD.de, the AOC CQ273G3S is expected to launch in Europe in 2021. You can learn more about this monitor HERE.
