Acer’s latest gaming monitor brings super-wide 3840×1080 resolution

Acer is adding a new monitor to its XV1 series gaming line-up – the Acer XV431CP. Featuring an ultrawide IPS panel, the Acer XV431CP has a whopping 32:9 aspect ratio, offering an immense screen area to work, play, or just watch random videos on the internet.

The 43-inch IPS panel of the Acer XV431CP offers a 120Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and a 3840×1080 resolution. Those interested in gaming on the Acer XV431CP should know it features AMD FreeSync Premium, so you can switch on adaptive refresh rate to avoid screen tearing.

The 10-bit (8-bit +FRC) panel is capable of displaying over a billion colours, covering 93% of the DCI-P3 wide colour spectrum. Moreover, it features a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 350nits typical brightness, peaking at 400nits, enough to get it certified with VESA DisplayHDR 400.

The included ErgoStand allows users to tilt, swivel, and regulate the height. If the user wants to adjust beyond the stand's capabilities, it will need a compatible VESA arm monitor. For connectivity, there's a DisplayPort 1.2, an HDMI 2.0 port, an HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it features 2x 2W speakers.

The Acer XV431CP is already available at some retailers, priced at €799. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.
