Acer unveils the XV282K 4K IPS 144Hz gaming monitor

With the upcoming generation of graphics cards about to release, Acer is about to launch a new 4K IPS gaming monitor with a high refresh rate. Besides both high resolution and high refresh rate, the Acer XV282K also features a simplistic black design, an adjustable stand, and a set of gaming-oriented features to improve your experience while playing.

As per PCMonitors, the 28-inch Innolux M280DCA AAS (Azimuthal Anchoring Switch) IPS panel features a 4K resolution, 144Hz of refresh rate, 178º(H)/178º(V) viewing angles, and 1ms of G2G response time. The typical brightness of 550nits, a ΔE ≤ 2, and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 allows this 10-bit panel to cover up to 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

This display supports VESA HDR600, offering more vibrant colours and deeper blacks, and FreeSync technology, for a smoother and tearless gaming experience. The monitor also features eye protection technology, such as low blue light mode, and ULMB (ultra low motion blur) to provide sharper images by reducing motion blur.

Available video interfaces include DisplayPort and 2x HDMI 2.1 ports. There's also an audio-out 3.5mm jack, a USB upstream port, 4x USB 3.0 ports, 2x 2W speakers, and a joystick to control the monitor's OSD. The included stand allows the user to adjust the monitor's height by 100mm, tilt it from -5º to 25º, and pivot it for ±90º. It also comes with support for VESA 100×100 mounting brackets.

The Acer XV282K is expected to be available in China in January 2021, but details on a western release are currently unknown.
