SCUF launches its most customisable gamepad yet

SCUF Gaming is back with what might be its best controller yet. The now Corsair-owned peripheral maker launched the SCUF Envision today, aiming to redefine gamepad gaming with new customisation options and technology.

The SCUF Envision has an extra 11 remappable buttons compared to a standard gamepad, enabling new controller layouts and quicker access to actions to gain a competitive edge. Five buttons are programmable G-Keys, which can be used for any PC shortcut, and there are two Side Action buttons alongside four integrated back paddles. The idea here is to enable things like weapon switching, sprinting, dodging, sliding and other actions without having to take your thumbs off the analogue sticks.

As we've seen on some other premium controllers in the past, SCUF has used mechanical switches for the main ABXY buttons and the D-Pad, enabling a satisfying and quick response from button presses. The triggers are also adjustable, so you can have them set to press like mouse clicks, or the more traditional deep press.

The SCUF Envision also integrates with Corsair iCUE, so you can use the software to adjust things like thumbstick and trigger response curves, adjust the deadzone and even synchronise RGB lighting.

The SCUF Envision will be available starting today for $129.99. A Pro version is also available, priced at $179.99.
