Overall, the Razer Wildcat Gamepad is a well crafted, capable controller. It offers some noticeable improvements over the standard Microsoft controller with a solid D-pad, tactile ‘Hyperesponse' AXYB buttons and easy ‘on the fly' button mapping.
While I found the optional bumpers and back triggers to be responsive and well made, the non-optional trigger and bumper buttons fall a little short of what you will find on the standard Xbox One controller. I also missed the extra weight found in the ‘impulse triggers' on the standard Xbox One controller.
I do feel that the tactile AXYB buttons make up for this as they offer a totally different experience that you are unlikely to find on any other gamepad on the market. These ‘Hyperesponse' buttons also feel built for quick tapping, so they are unlikely to get stuck or break as can be the case if you button mash on a standard gamepad.
The analogue sticks are also an improvement, with a larger and flatter top that gives your thumb more leverage to make precise movements- something I found excellent for shooters.
The Razer Wildcat is an impressive product, of that there is no doubt. That said, it is also very expensive with a £120 price tag on the Razer Store. At this price, Razer will face tough competition from Microsoft's Elite controller or even custom controllers from trusted brands such as Scuff.

Will it break within a month like the two Onzas I had?
