MSI expands Gaming Gear line with GH30 headset

MSI has always set its sights across the wider PC gaming hardware industry, focusing not just on the components to build a system, but the peripheral side too. Today, MSI is expanding its Gaming Gear line of peripherals with a new lightweight, foldable headset.

The MSI GH30 fits into the usual MSI aesthetic, with a red and black colour scheme and the MSI dragon logo appearing on both ear cups. Under those two closed ear cups, you will find 40mm Neodymium drivers that promise to ‘punch above their weight' when it comes to sound quality. You get a standard 3.5mm headphone jack cable for connectivity, but MSI also includes a splitter cable, so the headset can be used at your PC, or with another device, like a smartphone.

Here are the full specifications:
Connector: 3.5mm headphone jack.
Cable: 1.5m with gold-plated connector. 30cm Y-splitter cable included.
Driver Unit: 40mm Neodymium.
Speaker sensitivity: 96dB ± 3dB
Speaker Impedance: 32 ohm ± 15%
Speaker frequency response: 20Hz~20KHz
Microphone: Unidirectional.
Microphone sensitivity: -36 ± 3dB
Microphone Impedance: 2.2K Ohm.
Microphone frequency response: 100Hz~10KHz
Weight: 222g.

The MSI GH30 gaming headset should be available in the UK shortly, priced at around £45.

KitGuru Says: MSI has a good suite of peripherals but it is always nice to see something new coming to the table. Are any of you currently in the market for a new gaming headset? Would you consider the GH30?
