Azio showcases new RC Prestige retro-style mechanical keyboards

As the cornerstone of Azio's success, the Retro Classic Collection embodies the brand's aim of creating premium lifestyle workplace products. The original typewriter-style keyboard has pleased many, leading the company to launch a new model with the features seen on the latest premium mechanical keyboards.

The new RC Prestige Collection keyboard stays true to Azio's unique brand identity by presenting two new colours, Ebony and Ivory, while injecting the brand's material-centric design philosophy. The Ebony model has a faceplate in a black wood finish surrounded by a gunmetal grey aluminium frame and accents. As for the Ivory model, it features a white leather face enclosed in a silver aluminium profile. Both models feature unique double-shot keycap sets with a rounded square contour, distinguishing them from the circular keycaps of Azio's Retro Classic Collection.

The RC Prestige Collection keyboards preserve the classic body shape and design of its predecessors while adding a hot-swappable PCB with Gateron G Pro Brown switches as standard (Gateron G Pro Blue and Gateron G Pro Red switches are available as an option). However, the user can customise their typing experience by replacing these switches with others. The backlit vintage-style keycaps are compatible with other mechanical switches and keycap sets, allowing users to create their ideal typing arrangement. Moreover, these keyboards have adjustable feet and a dual connection mode, enabling users to connect via USB or Bluetooth to a maximum of three devices.

Those interested in Azio's new keyboards can visit the Kickstarter page to pre-order with a discount. While the keyboard will be released at $210, early birds can get it for $149 (limited to 100 units for each colour). In addition, there's a KS Special Edition for $169. Delivery is expected for July 2024.
