Here we get our first look at the HyperX Alloy FPS keyboard itself.
It is quite compact for a full-sized keyboard, with no dedicated media keys. Rather, they share space with the F-keys.
Furthermore, the frame itself is very slim – there is no unnecessary bezel. The steel frame gives just enough space for the keys and that is it.
I personally prefer this approach – it does not scream ‘gamer' unlike some keyboards with aggressive angles and sharp corners, but it is understated and easy on the eye.
In the top right-hand corner of the keyboard, we find the mini-USB input, as well as a USB passthrough port. This is exclusively for charging your phone.
Lastly, taking off the keycaps we get a glimpse of the Cherry MX Blue switches used here. MX Blues are both tactile and clicky – they are my personal favourites, although everyone has their own preference.
