HyperX Alloy FPS Mechanical Keyboard Review

boxpadding

The HyperX Alloy FPS comes in a black box with a large image of the keyboard itself on the front. Red accenting is used throughout.

Inside, the box is very well padded, too – HyperX are clearly keen to make sure everything arrives in pristine condition.

There are a lot of included extras inside, something I personally like to see.

To start with, there is a small ‘welcome to the HyperX family' card, as well as the quick-start guide for the Alloy FPS.

HyperX also include a padded carry bag for the keyboard – very useful if you are a regular LAN gamer. On the underside of the carry bag there is an extra pouch for a mouse, plus any cabling you might have.

Next up, we have 8 replaceable keys – WASD, along with the number keys 1-4. The WASD keys are a textured, metallic-feel type. The number keys have a similar metallic-feel, but they are not textured. Also included is a handy key-puller.

Lastly, the USB cable for the Alloy FPS is detachable and braided. It also has two USB ports – one for the keyboard, while another is for the USB passthrough on the keyboard itself, which we will come to on the next page.

All-in-all, it is a really healthy bundle included with the Alloy FPS. I personally love to see good-quality extras –  it says to me that HyperX are going the extra mile to make using the Alloy FPS a special experience, rather than just giving you the bare minimum in the box.
