Ravpower RP-PB13 14,000 mAh Power Bank Review

logoedit
The RavPower RP-PB13 is a nifty, inexpensive portable charger that will prove useful in a variety of situations. The addition of a torch makes this even more ideal in an emergency. Having two USB sockets means you can charge more at one device simultaneously.

We also liked the fact that the RavPower RP-PB13 was often almost as quick to charge as a dedicated mains socket. Not everyone who uses a device like this will be looking for a full charge, just something to get them enough power to make an important call or to send a couple of emails.

The Ravpower RP-PB13 is available now from Amazon.co.uk, reduced from £54.99 to £24.99 inc vat.

Pros

  • A well-built and solid unit.
  • Twin USB outputs for charging two devices at once.
  • Charging from the device is nearly as fast as traditional wall charging times.
  • A large 14000mAh battery capacity.

Cons

  • No included AC adaptor.
  • The Ravpower RP-PB13 takes a long time to fully charge.

Kitguru says: A bargain priced charger than does exactly what it says on the tin.

  1. What gets me with this bank is that it’s output sockets are different currents. So I’d be scared to plug in two devices that require 1A as i think it’d blow the device connected to the 2A slot, unless anyone can tell me differently.

The bank i have (from a different vendor) has 2x 1A ports so i can charge my phone and another small device. This suits me fine as I don’t have a tablet.

So folks like me with only small devices don’t look to be able to get the most out of this power bank.
