HyperX announces the “streamer-friendly” SoloCast USB microphone

HyperX has launched a USB microphone aimed at creators and streamers. Named HyperX SoloCast, this microphone features ‘Plug N Play' audio recording for an easy setup process and a convenient tap-to-mute system with an LED status indicator.

The HyperX SoloCast uses a cardioid recording pattern, ideal to record audio sources in front of the microphone, making it great “for in-game voice chat, streaming voice audio, and audio recordings for content creation”. Other technical specs include 16-bit audio, frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz, and a -6dBFS sensitivity.

The small stand allows users to rotate and tilt the microphone to their liking and needs, allowing them to fit it under a monitor or other cramped spaces. The included mount adapter fits both 3/8-inch and 5/8-inch thread sizes, making it compatible with most microphones stands and arms.

The HyperX SoloCast is certified by TeamSpeak and Discord and compatible with streaming applications such as OBS, XSplit, and Streamlabs OBS. Besides PC, it's also compatible with Mac and PS4.

Nate Almond, audio business manager at HyperX, stated that the company is “always looking for new ways to deliver an amazing user experience”, and with the SoloCast, HyperX is doing that by offering streamers and content creators a new recording solution.

The HyperX SoloCast USB microphone is available now for $59.99.
