Roccat Kone[+] Laser Gaming Mouse Review

The Roccat Kone [+] certainly looks the part without having the tacky visage of some gaming mice.  The glossy black trim and extensive LED lighting are major plus points and excite the appearance without detracting from the functionality of the rubberized paint finish.

In terms of performance, the Kone is up there with the best.  It's 6,000 DPI sensor has a higher resolution than all the major competition from the likes of Razer and SteelSeries.  The extensive configuration options sweeten the deal even more and should satisfy the most serious gamers out there.

The one area we haven't covered yet is the price.  At around £68 at Ebuyer, it's over £10 more expensive than the SteelSeries Xai which we regard to be one of the best gaming mice out there.  Even though the Kone[+] can match the Xai in terms of performance we feel it is a little overpriced.

KitGuru Says:  Sleek looks, top-notch performance and a premium price to match.

  1. Thats great, lovely looking mouse too. but as the reviewer said, its a bit costly. shame, id have bought one myself.

  2. Lovely, never really see their products on sale here, have to go online. Looks better than logitech anyway.

  3. Excellent product. my friend has one of their older mice and it looks better than my similar aged logitech. maybe I sweat more or something but I think logitech are a little overated. steelseries have a battle on their hands I think.

  4. I have had a few of these apart in our work, not this exact model but other products by the same company.

Really good design inside and good quality components, not a cheap far east make.

  5. I like the shape and appearance,. its always hard to tell about a mouse until you feel it and use it. ive bought a few logitechs and even a steelseries that I ended up hating. I only get mice now ive had hands on experience with in pcworld or a shop like that.

  6. Nice preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-322m1kGng
