HyperX launches the Cloud III Wireless headset at Gamescom 2023

HyperX has finally announced the release of the Cloud III Wireless gaming headset. Following the launch of the wired version of the Cloud III, the wireless variant comes packed with a 120-hour battery, 53mm angled drivers, and a lifetime activation for DTS Headphone:X.

The Cloud III Wireless allows you to control what you listen to and how others listen to you via the onboard audio and microphone controls (change volume and mute). The microphone brings some improvements over its predecessors, with a 10mm detachable microphone and an LED mute indicator. Furthermore, it has a metal mesh filter instead of a pop filter to reduce plosives.

The angled 53mm drivers, tuned by HyperX audio professionals, increase sound accuracy by directing it at a suitable angle to the ear canal, making it sound more precise than your typical headset. Moreover, the Cloud III also supports 3D audio thanks to the inclusion of DTS Headphone:X Spatial music technology through the NGENUITY software.

For durability, the Cloud III wireless has a complete metal frame with a steel headband and aluminium forks. It blends tough construction with soft leatherette, a comfortable fit, memory foam cushions, and additional padding on the headband, hoping to bring the same signature comfort that its predecessors are known for.

The Cloud III Wireless was designed to last for up to 120 hours without charging (4.5 hours for a full charge) using the 2.4GHz wireless connection, ensuring lag-free audio. Furthermore, the headset is compatible with a wide range of systems, including PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Gamers may easily connect the headset to their favourite platform using the bundled USB-C wireless dongle directly or using the USB-A to USB-C converter included. The new HyperX Cloud III Wireless Gaming Headset is available for $169.99.

KitGuru says: Have you ever owned a HyperX Cloud headset? Were you satisfied with it? Would you consider the new Cloud III Wireless headset for an upgrade?
