On the whole, I found using the Tesoro Excalibur V2 very satisfying.
The keyboard is well designed, with simple and understated visuals. I prefer this to the angular and aggressive designs of some gaming keyboards. The keyboard is also fairly compact, so it will be no problem on your desk.
The one problem I had with the Excalibur's design is that grease marks show up fairly easily on they keys. It is not the end of the world to quickly clean them off, but it does get slightly annoying after a while.
Tesoro's software suite, too, was another disappointment. It was sorely lacking in functionality, as really it just records macros and that is it. At the very least I would expect control over backlighting effects if nothing else. It would almost have been better if Tesoro did not include any software as then there would be nothing to criticise, but since they did, they should have made more of an effort to make it useful.
Despite those two points, the actual keyboard is fantastic. I loved using the tactile Kailh blue switches, which I found helpful for both general typing and gaming duties. The actual backlight, too, is strong and clear.
For those looking for a basic, back-to-basics mechanical keyboard that provides a good user experience without all the bells and whistles of the top-end keyboards, the Excalibur V2 is a great option.
Pricing is $89.99 in the States, and given that the first model of the Excalibur sells for around the £65 mark in the UK, I think it is fair to say we can expect similar pricing for the V2 model when it launches in the UK.
