Samsung launches Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch 3 at Unpacked event

Samsung Unpacked took place last night, bringing the announcements of the Galaxy Watch 3 and Samsung's new Galaxy Buds Live. The new smart watch comes with new health and fitness tracking features, as well as new customisation options, while the Buds Live aim to take on the Apple Air Pods Pro.

The Galaxy Watch3 is built using stainless steel (or titanium) and high-quality leather. The Galaxy Watch3 will soon feature a way of measuring blood oxygen (SpO2) and “track oxygen saturation over time, for fitness and wellness purposes”. The smartwatch also includes 80,000 watch faces made available through the Galaxy Store. Compared to the original Galaxy Watch the Galaxy Watch3 is “14% thinner, 8% smaller and 15% lighter”.

The earbuds, on the other hand, combine “AKG’s sound expertise with Samsung’s legacy of hardware innovation”. The Galaxy Buds Live comes with a 12 mm speaker and bass duct. Samsung's earbuds also includes “Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for open type”.

“Wearables are among the fastest-advancing technology sectors, and the pace of progress is only accelerating. In recent months, we’ve seen immense growth in the market as people turn to smartwatches and earbuds to help them thrive in the ‘Next Normal’”, said Dr. TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics.

KitGuru says: Do many of you tend to use Samsung smart devices and accessories? Are you thinking about pairing your Galaxy Smartphone with the new watch or earbuds?
