G.Skill launches new DDR5-8400 memory for Intel 14th Gen systems

Intel's new 14th Gen processors have officially launched and G.Skill is prepared with ultra-fast DDR5 memory for the new Z790 chipset platform. Today, G.Skill is launching its new DDR5-8400 CL40 memory kits.

Developed using the new Intel Core i9-14900K and Z790 platform and validated on a system featuring the processor and an Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard, the new kits offer two 24GB DDR5 memory dimms with speeds up to 8400MHz.

For latency, we're looking at CL40-52-52-134. According to G.Skill's tests, the kit can reach memory bancwidth speeds of 128.88 GB/s read, 127.03 GB/s write, and 123.83 GB/s copy in the AIDA64 memory bandwidth benchmark. G.Skill also has a DDR5-8600 kit, capable of speeds of 130.66 GB/s read, 130.24 GB/s write, and 126.31 GB/s copy in the same benchmark.

The new Trident Z5 RGB memory kits will be available this month, just in time for those looking to upgrade to Intel's latest processors.
