PS3 and PS4 to get early access to Destiny beta

At E3 this year it was announced that Sony and Bungie had some form of partnership for Destiny, last night at the Playstation 4 event it was revealed that the PS3 and PS4 consoles will have early access to the beta next year.

While it's not as big as a full retail release timed exclusive, it's still pretty cool for Playstation owners. People who were going to buy both next gen systems will probably go with the PS4 version for this multi platform release. I doubt anyone who was going to buy an Xbox One is going to jump ship for slightly earlier access to a beta though.

Now for some Destiny news we can all share in, we have a new teaser trailer. It only goes for about a minute and a half and is interrupted slightly by the Destiny team congratulating Sony on releasing its new console: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ6MNSdUZ20′]

It looks like the trailer is showing off some more of ‘the moon' mission that we saw in a previous trailer when the beta was originally announced.

Destiny has a planned release window- mid 2014. It will release on the PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Much like GTA V, there is no word on a PC release.

Kitguru Says: The game looks pretty cool but I'm hoping it doesn't end up being a re-hash of Halo because well, I didn't enjoy Halo. Hopefully this will come to PC eventually too because I don't plan on pulling my 360 out of retirement.
