Microsoft employees set to get limited edition Xbox One at launch

Microsoft employees working as part of the Interactive Entertainment side of the business, look set to be given a free, limited edition, white and silver Xbox One console on release day, if a new leaked promotional image is to be believed.

It surfaced originally on NeoGAF and Reddit and suggests that anyone who's been a full time employee since 12th July (thanks Engadget) will be given one for free. But more than that, they'll also get a year's free Xbox Live access and a copy of every first party game.

“1P” also could theoretically mean one player, but first party seems more likely.

The console itself looks to be in a more classic Xbox 360 white on one side and silver on the other. The controller is similarly in Xbox 360 colours, whilst the Kinect remains black.

The main machine is also said to be engraved with the words, “I made this,” and “launch team [something].”

KitGuru Says: This is all a rumour for now as all we've seen is this image, so it could be just a photoshop job. If it is though, it's a good one – and Microsoft does have a history of giving its employees free hardware.
