Last-gen nVidia bargains flood market

Following one reseller's announcement last week of a final load of GTX580 cards at £137, it now seems that prices are being cut on a much broader range of older nVidia cards. KFA2 is getting in on the act with Overclockers, so KitGuru has a finger poised over the ‘Print Screen' button.

As each new generation promises ever more ultra-realistic-cinematic-supra-rendering and polishing of every pixel, most of us are happy with solid frame rates across a range of games.

The GTX670 delivers those pixels by the bucket.

And, if this price cut is anything to go by, it will be delivering them for less cash than ever before.

With some KFA GTX670 cards (core clocks set to a nibble over 1GHz) on offer out there for around £270 – the idea of getting a 2GB version (whose core clock will boost up to 980MHz for demanding tasks) for just £199 sounds like a bit of a bargain.

We have done the whole Google-Shopping thing for GTX670 cards and this one does seem to be breaking barriers (but we always encourage you to do your own price research!).

One thing is sure, with nVidia's new king-of-the-hill GTX7xx cards in full flow, there are some definite bargains to be picked up from the 5xx and 6xx series.

Not easy to see how this can be beaten in the current market - expect more price cuts to follow if the weather stays warm

KitGuru says: When Asus launched its multi-award winning GTX670 Direct CU II Top in May 2012, it was clocked to 980MHz and came with a
price tag of £399. Against that, the latest offer from Overclockers is pretty serious. Based on our recent testing, it looks like this KFA2 GTX670 will be faster and cheaper than
KFA2's GTX760 EX OC.
