US teen jailed for Facebook rant in wake of Boston bombings

Cameron D'Ambrosio, 18 of Massachusetts, has been given a further month in jail without bail, after he was arrested on 1st May for a Facebook post that the prosecution described as a bomb threat. He will now be held until early July before facing trial.

The comment came shortly after the Boston bombings in mid-April, where D'Ambrosio purportedly said: ” f*** a boston bombinb [sic] wait till u see the s*** I do, I'ma be famous for rapping, and beat every murder charge that comes across me!”

School mates of D'ambosio reported this to their principal soon after and it wasn't long before the teen was arrested and his computer and Xbox seized. No evidence was found of any bomb making equipment or plans.

D'Ambrosio, who calls himself CammyDee in his online rap videos, is described by people that know him as someone not to take seriously. He's a “wanna-be thug rapper,” says one neighbour, who says he's often full of hatred because people pick on him for his wigger behaviour.

He does have a big of a James Franco thing going on though

Despite the fact that “CammyDee” has a history of speaking in a manner – especially in public – that is designed to garner attention, the police took his words very seriously. Police chief Joseph Solomon said that in this day and age, anything that involves bombs and could be considered a threat, is no simple matter: “There are no more threats that are high school pranks,” he said during a press conference the day after D'Ambrosio's arrest. “If they're thinking that way, they need to get their heads into 2013.”

D'Ambrosio does have a chequered past with violent comments. He's apparently threatened to kill class mates before and threatened to stab his sister after an argument. It's likely because of this – and the recent bombings in Boston – that are prompting the authorities to hold him without bail, as the prosecution believes they can secure an indictment.

Here's the original message he posted in full:

“All you haters keep my f***in' name outcha mouths, got it? what the f*** do I gotta do to get some props and s*** huh? Ya'll wanme to f****** kill somebody? What the f*** do these f***ing demons want from me? F***ing bastards I ain't no longer a person, I'm not in reality. So when u see me f***ng go insane and make the news, the paper, and the f***in federal house of horror known as the white house, Don't f***ing cry or be worried because all YOU people f***ing caused this shit. f*** a boston bombinb [sic] wait till u see the s*** I do, I'ma be famous for rapping, and beat every murder charge that comes across me!”

KitGuru Says: This seems like a bit of an obvious case. You have a young man that just wants to be heard, so he says some outrageous stuff to get attention and this time he hit a raw nerve. It's understandable to give him a slap on the wrist, but at no point in his message is an actual threat mentioned, he just talks about being a badass because he's a nerdy little white kid. If he'd said this in person it wouldn't be such a big deal, but as usual, if it goes on Facebook, it's a big problem.

I really don't see the justification for locking him up for two months. You lock up an 18 year old wannabe like this for a couple of days and he'll have learned his lesson; he won't want to go back in there. [Cheers Wired]

  1. #ThugLife?

  2. He acted like a Pump, but all he was, is a wimp.
Seriously, the US government and its agency’s really need to stop incarcerating people without trial, when the only crime is someone being a dolt!

  3. Another “look at me” nobody. What an utter knobend.

  4. Typical American, he’s got double negatives everywhere. He’s not smart enough to beat a Jay-walking charge nevermind a murder charge. I hope they lock him up and force him to redo his entire education. He needs it.

  5. No sympathy for wiggers.
