EA in BF4 legal investigation

EA is in a tricky situation right now, it's already annoyed its customers with the rushed and buggy release of Battlefield 4 but now it seems that law firm Holzer Holzer and Fistel, believes that  EA may have lied about the game's progress to keep investors happy.

The law firm specialises in representation of investors victimised by securities fraud and other corporate corruption and is analysing all public statements EA has made about Battlefield 4's progress between the 24th of July and the 4th of December this year:

“The investigation focuses on statements issued during that time regarding the development and sales of the Company's Battlefield 4 video game and the game's impact on EA's revenue and projects moving forward,” reads a press release issued by the firm. It then goes on to encourage those who suffered losses on EA common stock purchased between those dates to be in touch.

Looks like gamers might not be the only ones that hate EA

So far this hasn't escalated any further so EA might not be guilty of anything yet but this investigation could help shed some light on just how rushed Battlefield 4's development was. It's a shame that there was this huge need to release the game before Call of Duty as Battlefield is a big franchise in its own right and likely would have done well whether it released first or not.

KitGuru Says: The current ‘worst company in America' champion just can't seem to get it right and I'm pretty sure the gamers are tired of being let down all the time. Sort it out EA, seriously.

  1. Please DICE, become a standalone studio!!! 🙁

  2. Unfortunately that will not happen, look at all of the great companies now consumed by EA such as Maxis and Westwood. Sooner or later it will close the studios like Bioware and DICE then merge the staff into EA to try to make good games and rip the customer off
