Facebook have added over 100 million mobile users with their ‘Facebook For Every Phone'. The company launched the software two years ago to attract non smart phone users to use their platform.
The company have been working closely with phone manufacturers and carriers to ensure their software works on as many phones as possible. Facebook say that the software works with more than 3,000 different devices, which cost as little as only $20.
Facebook For Every Phone isn't as feature rich as the smartphone versions but it has proven useful for many millions of people without a smartphone. Users get access to the News Feed, Messenger, Photos and can find friends as well.
The application has found a large adoption rate in emerging countries such as Indonesia, The Philippines and India.
The software is powered by technology created by Snaptu, an Israel based mobile platform co founded in 2007.
