Asus lays out huge stand for Multiplay i49 over the Bank Holiday

Without doubt, Multiplay is a huge organisation – with the capability of kicking off around 21,000 gaming server instances across the globe. Three times a year, the focus of this well-oiled, world-conquering machine is aimed at the Telford International Centre and Insomnia ensures. named sequentially, i49 will start on 23rd August and will be, surprise surprise, the 49th event. Asus will be there in force and its bringing the Republic of Gamers guns with it.

At the time we press ‘send' on this story, it will be less than 2 weeks before kick off on i49. We all know that tens of thousands of pounds in prize money will be contested by thousands of gamers filling the hallowed halls of Telford – but what will you be able to see in action if you go along as competitor or spectator?

Will there be new hardware on show?

As far as Asus and ROG are concerned, that's a definite yes.

Visit the ROG-branded booth and you'll be able to see the newest Intel Z87 and AMD FM2+ motherboards from ASUS, along with the fastest graphic cards they have ever made and some very cool noise-cancelling/camo-styled headsets.

You can also see their multimedia products and extremely fast routers – which Asus advertising claims to be the quickest in the world.

If that’s not enough, you can also be one of the first in the UK to experience the awesomeness [Their word, not ours – Ed] of the ASUS PQ321QE Ultra-HD 4K monitor. This cutey offers 4K resolutions for some amazing in-game visuals. That resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels will need some graphics grunt, which is why Asus' booth partner, Scan, will be on hand to offer expert advice as to which graphic card will drive the 4K correctly for you.

“We’re really excited to be at i49 to give UK gamers the chance to see and experience the latest ASUS gaming hardware,” said Gareth Ogden, Marketing Manager at ASUS UK. “Visitors to the ASUS stand will also be able to play one of this year’s hottest game titles, on the day of its release, on amazingly powerful, custom-made gaming PCs from ChillBlast and PC Specialist and PC Specialist. Also, there are plenty of competitions, including the chance to win an ASUS and Corsair bundle, worth £800!”

Representatives from ASUS, Chillblast, and PC Specialist will be at the show throughout the event to answer any questions you have – and even pose for a photo (assuming you have a reinforced lens of some kind).

The ROG stand is located at the entrance of the gaming hall, and ASUS invites you to come along and join the official Republic of Gamers UK community. You can keep up-to-date with all of the latest news, product announcements, special offers, competitions, and more, by liking the official ROG UK Facebook page. Sign onto the ‘We love Asus' page between now and the end of the show and you'll be in for a chance to win a very cool little prize indeed.
