MSI has unveiled its GS70 series of gaming notebooks built for gamers on-the-go. Weighing 2.6kg, and measuring in at less than an inch thick, MSI's GS70 models represent the thinnest and lightest 17-inch gaming laptops on the market.
Powered by an Intel Core i7 4700HQ processor, 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3L memory, and a 2GB GeForce GTX 765M graphics card, the MSI GS70 aims to make high performance gaming on-the-go a hassle-free reality. Despite its easy-to-handle dimensions (for a large screen notebook), a 17.3″ 1920×1080 anti-reflective screen and 6 cell battery prove that the MSI GS70 gaming laptop doesn't make size-related compromises when it comes to the end user's gaming experience.
According to MSI's promotional material, a brushed aluminium chassis which houses the GS70's gaming components is inspired by Lockheed Martin's F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft and indicates speed, aggression, and power. Dual fan thermal cooling keeps the system's hardware chilled.
The GS70 sports gaming hardware which includes Killer DoubleShot networking (Killer E2200 LAN and Wireless-N 1202), a colour-backlit SteelSeries gaming keyboard with Anti-ghosting keys, and a 2.1 speaker system featuring Sound Blaster Cinema technology. General usage features come from four USB 3.0 ports, a 720P HD Webcam, and three audio jacks.
Featuring dual 128GB SSDs in RAID 0 and a 1TB HDD, the GS70 2OD-002US is expected to retail at $1999.99. Eliminating one of the 128GB mSATA SSDs and decreasing HDD capacity to 750GB, the GS70 2OD-001US comes in at $1799.99. Both models ship with the Windows 8 operating system.

KitGuru says: Fast and portable, the MSI GS70 looks like it could be a hot product for on-the-go gamers.
That sure does look good. I’m going to be the first to drop the expected comparison to Razer’s Blade. I think I would prefer this based on price!
Dual 128GB SSDs in RAID 0 and a 1TB HDD??Rocket!!
My band will almost certainly be touring a bunch next year, so I will seriously be considering purchasing one of these for gaming on the go!
does this one beats the razer blade becoming the thinniest gaming laptop ?
