The latest news from AllThingsD would suggest that Apple may introduce the follow up to the iPhone 5 at a special event held on September 10th. This is almost a full year after Apple introduced the iPhone 5 at a media event in San Francisco's Yerba Buena Arts Center on September 12th 2012.
The upcoming flagship model from Apple will be running the new operating system from Apple, iOS7 – already a key focus for the company on their website. While rumours abound for the cut price iPhone, it is not clear yet if the budget model will be released at the same time. Apple will be using this budget model to target developing markets such as China.
Apple have not released details of the upcoming iPhone, they never do. Rumours suggest however that the screen and camera will be updated and the iPhone will be available in a variety of different colours. Some sources have suggested they may even add a fingerprint sensor to improve security.
Apple have been under pressure to release a ground breaking product since former CEO Steve Job died after suffering from cancer. Apple will have to face stiff challenges from Android models by Samsung, LG and HTC.
