PC Specialist launches custom liquid cooling at Multiplay i49

Arguably the biggest local brand in PC manufacturing, PC Specialist ships thousands of systems in a month, but – up to now – there has been something missing from the company's line-up.

Anyone whose lead a DEA raid will know that continuous fire on the GAU-19 (left, below) generates some serious heat.

As a result, most manufacturers will recommend that continuous fire weapons are actually fire in bursts.

Fine if you're raiding off the Mexican Coast, but in a serious PC gaming fire fight, the last thing you want to do is take your fingers off the triggers for fear that something will overheat.

Enter liquid cooling for PC Specialist at Multiplay i49.

We spoke with PC Specialist engineers and they told us that they were not happy to enter this market until the technologies were well and truly proven. An early ‘Whoops, that has definitely failed' experience in the test lab with the old Cool-It Domino, meant that PCS has stayed clear of non-Air based solutions. Until now.

On show was a heavily overclocked Intel Core i7 4770k with a GTX780 and 16GB of Kingston HyperX memory – booting from a 240GB HyperX SSD – all with Custom Liquid Cooling in a Corsair Carbide 540 chassis. Nice.
