G.Skill has reclaimed its position as performance king after professional overclocker James “YoungPro” Trevaskis reached 4400MHz using G.Skill's TridentX memory earlier this morning.
The set-up used to achieve this result consisted of an Intel Core i7 4770k, ASUS Maximus 6 Impact and G.Skill TridentX DDR3 3000MHz C12 4GB. As is the norm, a generous amount of LN2 was used to keep the equipment from going up in flames.
CPU-Z and HWBOT validation can be found here and here.
KitGuru says: We might not see factory clocked 4400MHz soon but this will surely push other manufacturers to claim the number 1 spot. For now, congratulations to YoungPro and G.Skill are in order with these impressive results!
