Asus were the manufacturer of the original Nexus 7, and the redesigned model which was released earlier this year however Samsung were responsible for the bigger Nexus 10 model.
Asus bid for manufacturing of the new model, and they won, aiming to release the Nexus 10 in time for Christmas holiday sales.
The first Nexus 10 proved popular with the enthusiast audience, who warmed to the price point. So far there have been no specific details regarding the new version, however it is likely to push the boundaries further than the original which sported a 300 ppi/ 2560×1600 screen with 1.9 megapixel camera and a minimum of 16GB of storage.
The Nexus 10 was a decent seller for Google, although it failed to challenge the leading tablet sellers from Samsung and Apple.
