Battlefield 4 minimum specs revealed

Is your PC Battlefield 4 ready? It better be if you want to continue calling yourself part of the PC gaming “master race,” and I know you love doing that. Still, you won't need anything too hectic to just get this game to run, even if the OS recommendation is a surprising one.

The minimum specifications are as follows:

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2 32 bit or more recent
  • Processor: AMD Athlon X2 2.8GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
  • Memory: 4GB
  • Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Nvidia Geforce 8800GT
  • Graphics memory: 512MB
  • Hard Drive; 30GB

Not so bad right? In-fact, apart from the large installation space needed, those are pretty generous. Anyone with a PC that was reasonably good at some point in the last 5-6 years should be able to play BF4 without a hitch. The real question at this point however, is whether your OS matches up to DICE's recommendation.

BF4 visuals have impressed us all for almost half a year at this point

The recommended specifications are:

OS: Windows 8 64bit
Processor: AMD six-core CPU or Intel quad core CPU
Memory: 8GB
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or Nvidia Geforce GTX 660
Graphics memory: 3GB
Hard Drive 30GB

Windows 8. I don't think anybody saw that coming and even fewer people plan to make sure they match it.

KitGuru Says: So of course guys the question at this point is: is your PC ready? And how many of you will be using Windows 8 for it?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. Wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a 7870 (or there abouts) .. But then again I’m still undecided about BF4 as a whole ..

  3. Windows 8 is DOA. That is entirely Microsoft’s fault. There was no careful transition, no hand holding. Now we know the consequence, don’t we.

Windows 8 is fine, but i don’t like it. Contradiction? Yes, please.
