Discord game streaming now available to all Xbox users

Discord has been hard at work on its console integration over the last year. Xbox gamers have had access to Discord voice chat for a while and now, users will even be able to stream games in Discord channels right from their console.

If you are using an Xbox Series X/S or an Xbox One, the latest update to Discord on Xbox allows users to stream the game they are playing directly in Discord servers or private DM calls. The feature had been available to Xbox Insider members since early August but now after a few weeks of public testing, the feature is rolling out to all Xbox users.

You'll be bound to the same resolution and framerate limitations that you see on desktop. Free Discord users can stream at 720p/30FPS while Discord Nitro subscribers can get access to 1080p and 60FPS streaming.

For now, Discord game streaming on console is only available on Xbox but we should see similar integration on PlayStation a little later down the line.
