Limited edition Ouya system being released for the holidays

A new Ouya system has been announced for pre-order in North-America featuring an all white look for the holiday season. The timing is a bit odd as it was just recently confirmed that the Ouya 2.0 will be coming out in 2014, which isn't far away now. We will also be getting a brand new controller ‘sometime soon'.

The limited edition Ouya will feature 16GB storage instead of the standard 8GB. Seems like a good move considering how big some Android games can get – I've filled up my Galaxy S3 with games quite a few times.

You might want to know a thing or two about the library of games available before you put your money down for a console though. So far there are around 520 games available with the most up to date list being available on the Ouya's website. However, while the game library may not be as fleshed out as it could be yet, Ouya users (not us of course) might argue that the list of compatible emulators helps.

The white Ouya will come out on the 8th of December in the US only. You can pre-order one directly from Ouya.tv for $129.99.

Kitguru Says: I'm not ready to take my mobile gaming to the big screen yet but when I see some more games like the Nova series come out, I might be tempted. Are you guys looking forward to the Ouya 2.0?
