Grand Theft Auto have detailed the cost of their microtransactions – which range in price between £1.99 and £13.49 according to a report on Eurogamer.
EuroGamer claims they have a source ‘with early access to the mode' and said ‘while details may still be tweaked prior to its final release, this is how things currently stand with less than a week before it goes live'.
- $100,000 Red Shark Cash Card – £1.99
- $200,000 Tiger Shark Cash Card – £3.49
- $500,000 Bull Shark Cash Card – £6.99
- $1,250,000 Great White Shark Cash Card – £13.49
Eurogamer also say that properties and vehicles in the multiplayer mode cost far less than the single player mode.
They say “a car that costs $1 million in the game's single-player mode can be bought for much less in Online – more like $150,000. Properties are also cheaper – the most expensive you can own is $400,000.”
Weapons and car mods are more expensive with the site adding ‘most are initially out of normal financial reach'.
Rockstar have yet to announce the GTA Online Cash card details or how they are funding the multiplayer mode. GTA Online is set to launch Tuesday 1st October with free access granted to all people who bought a copy of the game on Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.
Kitguru says: It will be interesting to see how this is received by the gaming public.
