Nvidia GTX780Ti coming mid November to battle 290x

The spotlight may be on AMD this month, but Nvidia have just announced their GTX780Ti, due to launch in the middle of November. While the official Nvidia announcement didn't go into a ton of detail we know it will be aimed at the high end gaming audience, replacing the existing GTX780 which has led the performance benchmarks for a long time.

We would imagine the GTX780Ti will be another GK110 card with higher clocks and possibly more SMXes enabled. The official prelaunch images of the card might also indicate they will be using a version of the GTX Titan cooler. Nvidia partners are likely to already have some custom coolers ready for launch

While the AMD 290X has yet to launch, you can be sure that Nvidia want to remain competitive. We also expect a flurry of price movements to happen before the end of the year – just in time for the Christmas rush. Big TWIMTBP titles such as Assassins Creed IV launch November 19th so we would think this would be a good time to launch the new Nvidia hardware.
