Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition announced

Injustice: Gods Among Us is getting a game of the year edition of sorts, with the ‘Ultimate Edition' including all previous DLC and will release to a few new platforms, including: the PS4, Vita and PC. Warner Bros just announced the new release coming out on the 29th of November, just in time for the PS4 launch in the UK.

For those who don't know, Injustice is a DC universe fighting game made by the same group that did the latest Mortal Kombat game, NetherRealm Studios. The story focuses on the Justice League trying to stop Superman after being enraged by the Joker, who tricks Superman into causing a nuclear explosion, taking out Metropolis, Lois Lane and his unborn child. Superman then kills the Joker during Batman's interrogation, loses his moral compass and establishes the new world order, where he rules over the planet.

The DLC includes:

  • Characters: Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Scorpion
  • 40 extra skins
  • 60 S.T.A.R Labs missions

The PS4 port will make use of the DualShock 4 touch screen but in what way isn't clear yet, this along with the PC port was handled by Developer, High Voltage, the Vita version was developed by Armature Studio. The game will cost £50 on the PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 while the PC and Vita versions will cost £30. There was no announcement for the Wii U or Xbox One.

KitGuru Says: I enjoyed Injustice, it's one of my go to games when I have friends over but most people will have already bought the DLC they really wanted and with no real extra's it seems like a re- release just for the sake of it. This is good news if you are going to buy a PS4 and don't already have the game of course.

Did you guys enjoy Injustice? Or were you waiting for a version like this to come out?

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
