GTX 780 Ti priced, 780 discounted and new Nvidia game bundles

There's a slew of Nvidia news today, with an officially announced price tag for the newest card in its lineup, the GTX 780Ti. But much more than that, as it's also bringing with it a price crash on current 780 stock and even finding itself as part of new bundles with some big upcoming titles.

Let's skip the pre-amble though and get to the price tag, as that's what's going to decide your Christmas list this year right? A brand new GTX 780 Ti will set you back $699… if you're in the US. Unfortunately all we have from Nvidia at the moment is “UK/Euro pricing will follow closer to launch,” which takes place on 7th November. Chances are the dollar conversion isn't going to be kind to us limeys though.

Still, the good news about the Ti is that it's taking an axe to the price of its predecessors, the GTX 780 and 770. That drop has already gone into effect, and these cards are now available at major retailers from £400 and £240 respectively.

Not sure I'd want any of those guys mad at me really. Time to buy a new GPU.

If that price seems right up your street though, it's going to sound even better when you hear about the Pirates, Heroes and Spies promotion, twinning the new card and its little buddies with copies of Batman: Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The 760 too is getting rumbled into this bundle, and is available with copies of Black list and Black flag.

The final piece of Nvidia news in this round up, is the introduction of version 1.7 of its ShadowPlay feature, which comes as part of the GeForce Experience software. It's a hardware accelerated, in game recorder, that can keep your gameplay temporarily saved and stored, letting you tap into that at the push of the button. Get a sweet kill? Hit Alt + F10 and ShadowPlay will save it for you. There's also a manual mode for you FRAPS veterans. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lyy3ZijLJ0s']

KitGuru Says: The graphics war between AMD and Nvidia is really heating up in the build up to the new console launch. It's a great time to be a PC gamer.
