Titanfall release date and collectors edition

Titanfall is on its way, many gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on it after being impressed by the gameplay demo's we've seen and now we have an exact release date to look forward to: March 14th 2014.

For those who need reminding, here is the E3 demo: [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5sqPxbLmIU']

Along with the release date we have a collector's edition announced including:

  • 18 Inch Titan statue
  • 190 page concept art-book
  • Full size schematic poster of a Titan
  • Titanfall game

The statue is made up of 300 individual parts for those who are in to that kind of thing.

The game is exclusive to the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC making it a big win for Microsoft although there are some rumblings of a PS4 port coming in the future.

The base game will cost £44.99 on PC while the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions will cost £54.99, making the PC and Xbox 360 versions quite pricey. We usually see Xbox 360 games start between £39.99 and £49.99 while PC games usually launch at £29.99 or £34.99 but perhaps with a new generation comes new pricing.

The collector's edition will be available at participating retailers for $249.99 in the US and £249.99 in the UK, disregarding the exchange rate.

KitGuru Says: Titanfall is looking incredible. There is another announcement coming today so watch out for that one too. What do you guys think of the Titanfall gameplay?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.

  1. I had chance to play it first hand on the 360, at euro gaming expo. Was a fantastic game and well worth the 1 hour 30 min wait. Some people waited 3 hours to play it. Can’t wait for it to be released.
