OCUK launches 8pack Infinity systems

8pack is the new darling at OCUK. With his emasculating physique and impressive overclocking skillset, he's taking the retailer and its customer base by storm. However, his high end systems have also been breaking bank balances and marriages left and right, so Overclockers is now offering something a little more viable with its Infinity line-up.

That said, don't expect to find any of these systems for under two grand, as even the light-mayo version, the Infinite Cube, packs an i7 4770k, twin GTX 780s and a price point in the low thousands.

But enough beating around the bush, here's the specs for each system and their respective price tags:

Infinity Exclipse – from £3987

Each of these cases comes with air-cooling as standard – Alpenfohn K2 Mount Doom CPU cooler – but can be upgraded with a custom CPU and GPU water cooling loop. However if you take that option, expect to add on several hundred pounds to the price (in the case of the Eclipse, more like £1,000).

Other options include the addition of a bigger SSD, secondary storage drive inclusion (or secondary SSD for ridiculous RAID 0 read/write rates), faster build and shipping time, a different OS inclusion – default is Windows 8 64bit – the addition of an optical drive and a longer warranty time; though of course, you'll need to spend a few bucks for each upgrade.

KitGuru Says: Windows 8 seems like an interesting choice for the default operating system, since the general consensus is that it's not the greatest. Even 8pack himself used a 64bit version of Windows 7 for his most recent benchmarking records. 

That aside though, these systems are pretty epic, even if they are supposed to scale back the pricing. They do though. Just check out the 8Pack extreme systems. They START at £6,500 and go all the way up to £9,500 without upgrades. Part of the deal there though is one-on-one building and systems support with 8pack himself.
