Trine 2: The Complete Story will make its way to the Playstation 4 after being a PC exclusive for almost 2 years. The developers, Frozenbyte, still want their game to reach as many systems as possible and will be self publishing the title.
The best news for Playstation 4 buyers is that the game will run at 1080p with 60 frames per second. If you've played Trine 2 on the PC before then you know that it is a very pretty game and it looks like the PS4 will be powerful enough to bring the same experience. The Wii U got a version of the game a while back which was renowned for its great use of the gamepad when taking on puzzles meaning there could have been potential for a Vita release although sadly, that won't happen. Stereoscopic 3D will be supported on the Playstation 4 port for those of you who see 3D as something more than a gimmick.
For those intrigued by the platform based puzzle game you will be able to buy the game from the PSN store as a self published indie title but unfortunately there is no specific release date yet.
Kitguru Says: Trine 2 was a great game and while it will be new for PS4 owners it is quite dated on the PC, hopefully a Trine 3 will follow on soon. Are any of you guys interested on picking up the game on the PS4?
