Titanfall will remain an Xbox and PC exclusive afterall

A little while ago there was a rumour that Titanfall could eventually land on the Playstation 4. This was sparked when lead artist, Joe Emsile, alluded to the possibility in an interview with Eurogamer:

“It's definitely not out of the question, we have a huge appreciation for the fans. Coming out and showing it to everybody, we're super nervous and wanted to make sure everybody loved it. We love all our fans, whatever console they support. So yeah. We want to make everybody happy, but this is where we're at right now.”

Microsoft's Major Nelson added fuel to the fire when he ambiguously  answered a Reddit user's question:

Well now we know why Major Nelson wasn't worried, Microsoft and EA have now worked out an exclusivity deal meaning Microsoft will keep Titanfall for the “life of the game”.

Respawn Entertainment cofounder, Vince Zambella, tweeted on the matter:

When asked about future PS4 titles Vince said that the developer will definitely make a title for the console just not Titanfall.

This could very well be the exclusive that starts selling Microsoft's new system, one great exclusive can help get you customers. Though not everyone agrees they're a good thing.

We could be looking at a situation similar to what happened with Mass Effect. Once the trilogy concluded, PS3 ports were made so Playstation 4 owners may see Titanfall a few years down the line.

Kitguru Says: This is good news for Microsoft. The company has been getting a lot of negative press thanks to its dreadful E3 presentation and Xbox One reveal. Now its time to let the games speak for the consoles. If the Xbox One gets more exciting exclusives then people will want the console regardless of what happened earlier this year.

Bit of a bummer for PS4 fans though.

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
