Dying Light 2 roadmap includes dozens of new features

As with the first game, the team at Techland have been adding a whole bunch of new stuff to Dying Light 2, from small changes and refinements, to entirely new gameplay styles. Techland seems to have no plans of stopping any time soon, as the studio has now released a new trailer detailing their roadmap of future content.

In a trailer published by IGN, the team at Techland offered insight into the many changes – both big and small – which are set to arrive in Dying Light 2 over the coming months. Ranging from quality of life improvements to graphics settings, difficulty options and more, just some of the new content coming in the future includes:

  • New Missions and Activities
    • Co-op missions
    • Board quests
    • Tower raid
    • Replayable GRE anomalies
    • The return of Tolga and Fatin
  • New graphics options
    • Bloom toggle
    • FOV slider for the Xbox Series S
  • Quality-of-life  improvements
    • Weapon repairing
    • Gear dismantling
    • Mod dismantling

  • New cosmetics
  • New mechanics
    • Additional enemy variants
    • Executions/finishers
    • New Nightmare difficulty
    • Enemies drop their weapons
  • Weapons
    • New weapon rarity
    • Knives
    • Polearms
    • Elemental effects
  • Halloween and Winter events
  • Weather improvements
  • Cross-gen saves
  • Text chat
  • And more

All-in-all Dying Light 2 seems to only be getting better with time – and just like with the first title – it appears as though when all is said and done, the game will be nearly unrecognisable from its launch state.
