Latest AMD Software Adrenalin driver introduces Anti-Lag+, Boost, and HYPR-RX

The latest version of AMD's Adrenalin software has been made available. Besides introducing support for Radeon RX 7700 and RX 7800 series graphics cards, the 23.9.1 version of the graphics driver brings new features, including AMD Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Boost, and AMD HYPR-RX.

Initially, Anti-Lag+ will only support 12 games, including Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Dying Light 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 4, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Fortnite, Last of Us: Part 1, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 3, and Borderlands 3. The company plans to introduce more titles in the coming months.

With the new driver, Radeon Boost can now work alongside Anti-Lag+ to improve image quality by adjusting dynamic resolution switching during motion. Additionally, it introduces AMD Radeon Boost support for Resident Evil 4 Remake and Ghostwire: Tokyo.

Lastly, the driver brings the much-awaited AMD HYPER-X, a one-click solution that combines AMD Radeon Anti-Lag+, Boost, and Radeon Super Resolution to boost performance and reduce latency. In Q1 2024, HYPR-RX will expand, introducing support for AMD Fluid Motion Frames to increase FPS via frame generation for DirectX 11/12 games.
