Microsoft has been doing a lot of promotion for the Xbox One – understandably – but it's also been helping promote the countdown to launch show, set to debut on Spike a couple of hours before the 12AM official release, with a few short trailers hinting at upcoming games.
I'd say let's play a little (and easy) game of guess which-game-they're referencing, but the previews have them listed in the title, so it's ruined. Sorry guys. The Spike TV countdown event does have a bit of a description on the official site, but the official listing hasn't been finished as its cuts off half way through: “Celebrate the launch of a new generation of games and entertainment live from New York and Los Angeles with performances from Macklemore & Ryan…”
If you want to tune in to the event and you're in the UK, you'll need to stay up late. It goes live on Thursday 21st November, at 11PM EST, which makes it around 4AM GMT.
KitGuru Says: While I don't have an Xbox One pre-ordered or plan to buy one any time soon, I'll be watching whatever equivalent coverage we have here in the UK. The PS4 might be available in the US already, but the launch of thee Xbox One is what kicks off the next gen if you ask me.
