G.Skill is looking to push the current envelope as much as possible with the unveiling of its latest Ripjaws kit designed with laptops in mind.
That's right, this new high performance DDR3 kit with an 8GB capacity (2 x 4GB) is a matched pair of SO-DIMM, featuring a bandwidth of 2133MHZ and timings of 11-11-11-36. You'll need to make sure your notebook can output 1.35v to the sticks, though this is a standard in Haswell equipped laptops, so if yours is relatively new, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
G.Skill was also keen to show off the performance of this new kit, combining it with an Intel i5-3427U at 2.6GHz, it was able to achieve a SuperPi 32M calculation in just over 18.5 minutes.
These kits come with a lifetime warranty, so if there's ever a problem just ship them on back to G.Skill and they'll be replaced free of charge.
KitGuru Says: These make me realise I could do with a new laptop. It's been a while since I had one that was anything close to my main PC's performance.
