If you don't fancy waiting in line and dropping all of your money at once for the PS4 during the UK launch on Friday then O2 has you covered, although you might also want to make sure you're in the market for a new phone too.
O2 will launch the deal on Friday alongside the PS4 and will include the Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone, a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall and a 12 month subscription to PS+. The bad news is, it'll set you back £52 a month with an upfront cost of £89.99 but you will get unlimited calls and texts, only 1GB of data though which is a shame. If you don't fancy paying £52 a month then there is a £47 a month option which will offer 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data but there will be a £129.99 upfront cost.
Speaking to Wired, an O2 representative confirmed that this deal would only be available in select stores. Confirmed stores include O2's London, Westfield branch and the O2 on Oxford Sreet, also in London. It hasn't been confirmed if this will be a 12 month or 24 month contract but the latter seems most likely.
Kitguru Says: Over a two year contract this would set you back around £1200 – that's pretty expensive. Even if this would be a cheaper way to get a PS4 and a new phone up front, it might be better to save up and get each in turn.
