Well, Activision still owns Crash Bandicoot

Last week we talked about the possibility of Crash Bandicoot making its return to Sony and making a comeback. Unfortunately it seems that Activision still owns Crash Bandicoot – though it might be looking in to reviving the franchise itself.

An Activision spokesperson spoke to Game Informer, confirming that the rights haven't been passed on to Sony: “Activision owns Crash Bandicoot and we continue to explore ways in which we could bring the beloved series back to life.”

Maybe Activision has been planning a reboot and taking down the official site was all a part of gearing up for an announcement but for now we don't know anything, we just know that Sony doesn't own the rights. That doesn't mean that Crash Bandicoot won't return on the PS4 though. It would have made a decent launch title for the PS4 but sadly, thats been and gone so while the timing might not be as perfect as it could have been, I wouldn't rule out a PS4 appearance just yet.

Many of the rumours came from a Reddit thread, started by user ‘Cocobandit' who had gathered up a lot of evidence pointing towards a PS4 Crash Bandicoot game.

Kitguru Says: Crash Bandicoot returning was one of the more exciting and convincing rumours we've heard recently. While it hasn't panned out in its initial form, there's still hope that a new game will come out some day. Are you guys dissapointed that the rumours didn't pan out?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
