Battlefield 4 is in pretty bad shape right now and it seems that there are so many issues that DICE needs to put a stop to all other projects including future games and expansions to finally fix Battlefield 4 once and for all.
EA gave the following statement announcing DICE's priority change just after the China Rising expansion pack was released:
“We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game — it is absolutely our No. 1 priority.” The spokesperson said, “The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since the Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right.”
If this was accurate, that guy would be running away from a corrupted save file
If you want to keep an eye on the developer's progress, you can check out the ‘Battlefield control room‘ where EA and DICE will be posting regular updates on the state of the game.
Whatever the reason is, this game has been rushed out and its not doing EA's reputation any favors. It's a shame because the game is quite fun when it actually works, maybe there should have been a real beta test instead of the pre-release warm up we got back in October.
KitGuru Says: A lot of people either pre-ordered or bought Battlefield 4 close to release day so the whole ‘vote with your wallet' approach isn't going to change much now but for future reference, it's probably better to wait until after launch these days as it seems more and more major titles are coming out broken.
Unless those PCGamingAlliance guys can get their project started.

The game shouldn’t of been released when it was clearly full of issues. Just more proof that games developer/publishers are just pushing half arsed games out the doors and try and fix them with patches which is out of order. I remember when games had to work on release because patching wasn’t the norm. I get that games will have bugs that’s inevitable but to the point that renders the game unplayable is a joke.
Is there a phrase derived yet for Greedy Software houses who release incomplete versions of the game for 80 EUROS yet? Its not Alpha testing, its not Beta testing….
