New Nvidia driver promises Starfield improvements and optimisations for Mortal Kombat

Starfield has been performing oddly on Nvidia and Intel GPUs but the experience is expected to improve with graphics driver updates and game patches. The situation should improve for Nvidia users from today, as a new driver is now available with additional optimisations for Bethesda's latest RPG.

Starfield isn't the headlining game of today's GeForce graphics driver update. However, the patch notes do confirm that it does contain performance fixes for Starfield. The two headlining games of today's update are actually Mortal Kombat 1 and Lies of P, with the new driver having Game Ready optimisations for both titles. It is also worth noting that both of these games will also support DLSS at launch for extra performance on RTX graphics cards.

DLSS is also coming to a few more games with this update. Icarus now supports DLSS 3, Ad Infinitum is launching this week with DLSS 2, Warstride Challenges has left Early Access and now supports both DLSS 2 and Nvidia Reflex, Arcadegeddon now supports DLSS 2 and finally, Starsiege: Deadzone has been updated with DLSS 2.

If you're the type of person that likes to avoid messing around in options menus, then the GeForce Experience has now been updated with recommended settings for a few more titles as well, including Starfield, Armored Core 6, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Immortals of Aveum and Wayfinder.

The new GeForce 537.34 driver can now be downloaded via the GeForce Experience app, or directly from Nvidia.
