MSI introduces new MPG Gungnir and MAG Forge airflow-oriented cases

MSI has launched plenty of cases in the past few years, though not all of them have had a big focus on airflow. That looks like it will soon change with the introduction of the new MPG Gungnir 300R and 300P Airflow, as well as the MAG Forge 320R and 120R PC cases.

The new MPG Gungnir 300 series PC cases, like other entries in this series, are designed to meet the compatibility requirements of mid-level system setups for gamers. It has a 1 mm perforated front panel and is compatible with twin 360 mm AIO liquid coolers in a push-pull configuration at the front and top simultaneously. The new 300 series Airflow cases come with four pre-installed 120 mm fans, but while the 300R uses ARGB fans, the 300P doesn't. The MPG Gungnir 300 series is offered in three models: the MPG Gungnir 300R Airflow, the MPG Gungnir 300R Airflow White, and the MPG Gungnir 300P Airflow.

In total, these cans support up to 10x 120 mm fans or 6x 140 mm fans. When the graphics card is fitted vertically, three fans can be mounted on the vertical GPU bracket (2x 60 mm fans with 15 mm thickness) and the cable cover (one 80 or 120 mm fan) to improve the airflow channel between the graphics card and the motherboard. MSI claims this improves the cooling performance of the components inside, such as the SSD.

MSI is committed to creating DIY-friendly PC cases. The new Gungnir 300 series provides enough space for horizontal and vertical graphics card installations. An integrated omnidirectional graphics card support with 8 mm tempered glass avoids the danger of sagging caused by extended high-end graphics card installation. The stand is tool-free and has several configurations for different GPU sizes, as well as a 90-degree rotation for user convenience. Other DIY-friendly features, such as switchable PCIe brackets, a sliding HDD tray, a cable cover, and push locks, are also available.

Moving on to the new MAG Forge cases, the 320R Airflow and 120A Airflow are designed to work with the most recent GPUs, ATX motherboards, and ATX power supplies. The mesh front panel and magnetic dust filter on top improve ventilation, while the tempered glass window lets you show off your PC setup.

The MAG Forge 320R Airflow comes with four ARGB fans (supports up to 11x 120mm or 5x 140 mm) and supports up to a 360 mm radiator on top. Moreover, it features DIY-friendly cables, an ARGB controller, and an Insta-Light Loop button that allows you to change between RGB lighting profiles. The smaller MAG Forge 120A Airflow features six pre-installed auto-ARGB fans with an On/Off LED switch and is compatible with 240 mm radiators (front and top).
